Who should attend?

The Domestic Violence High Risk Team Model requires a multidisciplinary effort that brings together advocates, law enforcement, probation, prosecutors and criminal justice professionals. To get the most from the conference please consider attending the conference with partners from your community. Group registration rates are available for four or more members.

How do I pay for the conference?

When registering online, you will have the option to pay by credit card using the secure credit card processing site, or pay offline by check or purchase order. Attendees who opt to pay offline will receive remittance information via the order confirmation email. Payment must be paid by October 2, 2015. If paying by check or purchase order, please click “Show other payment options” under the large green “Order Now” button on the registration site.

May I request a receipt or invoice for my conference registration?

Receipts for credit card payments will be provided automatically as part of the online registration process. If paying by check or purchase order, please remit payment to Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, 2 Harris Street, Newburyport, MA 01950 Attn: Liz Morin. Once we have received your check, a receipt will be mailed to you for your records.

What is the cancellation policy?

Registration cancellations must be made in writing via email, fax or mail. Cancellation requests made on or before October 2, 2015 will be refunded in full. Refunds will not be made for cancellations after October 2 or for participants who register but do not attend. No exceptions to this policy can be considered, as funds will then be fully committed to the production of the conference. All refunds will be mailed after the conclusion of the conference.

Do I need to sign up for workshops in advance?

No. Workshops are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please plan to arrive early for each workshop, as doors will be closed once the room has been filled.

Will meals be provided at the conference?

Conference Day 1—Monday, November 2—will include:

  • Breakfast will be provided from 7:00 to 8:00 am
  • Lunch break will be from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Guests will have lunch on their own at one of the numerous nearby eateries.

Conference Day 2—Tuesday, November 3— will include:

  • Breakfast will be provided from 7:00 to 8:00 am
  • Lunch will be provided during the 11:30 am to 1:00 pm program with a guest speaker.

The Boston Marriott Copley Place is centrally located in the historic Back Bay neighborhood and is attached to the Copley Place Mall and the Shops at the Prudential Center. Steps away from Newbury Street and some of Boston’s top restaurants and historic sites, you will be an elevator ride away from conference activities and a short walk or cab ride from experiencing all that “The Hub” has to offer.

When and where will I check in for the Conference?

Check in will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02116 on the 4th floor.

Early conference check in will be open from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 1st and will re-open on Monday, November 2nd at 7:00 am. Registration will remain open throughout the conference.

Signs will guide you to registration.

Am I eligible for the GSA hotel room rate?

GSA hotel room rates are for federal grant awardees. Other grantees should check with your grant administrators to see if you are eligible for the GSA rate.

Grant award numbers must be provided to drivingchange@lizpageassociates.com.

There are limited rooms available at the $214 GSA rate so please book early. GSA rooms are subject to state and local tax, which is currently 14.45%.

I am attending the Conference with OVW funds but the GSA rate is unavailable.

The GSA rate at the Marriott is sold out, however if you are attending the Conference with OVW funds, please speak to your project specialist for standard rate reimbursement approval.
